The Boat Channel’ was set up by Sebastian Lyte, a serial boat buying and selling RYA/MCA Ocean Yachtmaster and all round helpless (or should that be hopeless) boating case!
After literally travelling the world in search of the perfect boat from Israel, Greece, Spain, Gibralter, California, Florida and finally to BVI, not to mention the length and breadth of the UK, Sebastian came to the conclusion that there must be another, easier way. The problem was that, armed with just photographs, loose descriptions and good intentions, the boats would rarely live up to expectations and the journey would end in disappointment, not to mention a distinct lightening of the wallet! Wouldn’t it be GREAT! to be able to view a high quality video of the boat you are interested in before you set out? Not just a glossy commercial extolling the romance of life on the water, but a really close look from the stringers to the cutlass bearings, and do those notorious electrics really work? This is what we are offering on this site. Sebastian’s day job is that of a commercials film director, so you can be sure that all your boats will be shown to the very highest standards. |
